The benefits of having a Computer Usage & Personal Information policy for all employees. Is your company doing everything possible to protect the personal information of your employees? This is an especially important task for all Human Resource Professionals. Do your employees have a clearly defined policy on computer usage and do they understand what qualifies as Personal Information? Is your company protected from cyber-attacks and/or infiltration? This may or may not be something that can be 100% prevented, but if a breach should occur, can you confidently state that you did everything in your power to protect the personal information in your possession? Having a policy in place is a great start; staying up to date with state and federal laws regarding Personal Information is also vital. Working closely with your IT provider will also help to secure your business from cyber dangers.
